This morning we hopped on a bus to University of St. Joseph to get background knowledge about mangroves and learn about their importance to the environment and to us! The staff discussed the USJ projects in Macao, which they called “MacGroves,” named from “Macao Mangroves.” We also had the chance to describe some species that we will see in our field experiences this week. We now know how important these “hidden coastal treasures” are to the Macao area, and we are excited to share this information in the multimedia projects we will be working on this week. Thanks USJ! We are looking forward to working with you!
