Today, we went to the the Elephant Retirement Park in the morning. After that, we went to the Karen Hill Tribe Village, and then at night we had a Khantoke dinner with a cultural show put on by the local people.
At the Elephant Retirement Park, we took turns feeding and washing the elephants. When we went to the Karen Hill Tribe people’s village, we learned about herbs and medicine, how they use natural dye to colour cotton fiber, how the people weave their clothes, and more. Our outdoor Khantokie dinner consisted of delicious foods such as curry, minced pork in tomato sauce, fried chicken, and sticky rice. The evening ended with a cultural performance of Thai traditional dances and drumming.
