Macao 2: Local CAS Program

Assembling the Tiger Frame and Learning about Mangroves

Where: International School of Macao

  Macau

Posted March 11, 2019 by queeniewong

For the first day of Experience Week 2019, our group participated in our first of many days creating the paper mache tiger. Our first steps in creating the paper mache tiger was setting down some of foundation pieces of the lower body ,a bit of the head and some parts of the upper body. Each piece was divided upon the group ensuring that everyone participated and work was split evenly.
By Joshua Mitchell

We later went to the University of Saint Jospeh’s to learn the importance of mangroves in Macao. We learned that it can provide a habitat for other animals, protect property from typhoons and has bacteria that can break down plastics. We later did some sketching and looked at distinctive features of different mangrove samples.
