We had another fantastic day in Vietnam! Our day kicked off with a delicious breakfast at our hotel and then, after giving our food some time to settle, we were given the opportunity to enjoy a dip in the pool. Late morning, we hopped on a bus and went in to the Old Town for yet another delicious meal in Hoi An. Immediately after eating, we split into two groups and began our afternoon. One activity was to take on the physical challenge of exploring Marble mountain. There were many steep steps that tested our muscles and endurance but we arrived victorious at the top and were rewarded with some beautiful views.
The other activity was the challenge of learning how to make a traditional lantern. It was interesting to see the many pieces that that needed to be fastened together to make these lovely traditional lanterns that are a huge part of the identity of Hoi An. Upon the completion of these challenges, we returned to the Old Town for one last opportunity to do some last minute shopping and of course to enjoy the tasty food that we’ve become so accustomed to here in Vietnam. Our bags are packed and we’re ready to go but stay tuned for an update tomorrow as we enjoy our final day of adventure in this beautiful and culturally rich country.
