What an incredible day in Vietnam today! The trip continues to amaze so many students and it’s no surprise as the activities are filled with adventure. There were definitely a couple highlights worth mentioning today so here’s a quick recap from a few students on our very active day 3 in Hoi An.
The third day of our trip to Vietnam began with a hike to a cave and some famous pagodas at The Marble Mountains. The cave was really cool, and climbing up was fun. The view from the top of the cave was amazing. I think the cave was a favourite for the students. However the bike ride also took the cake for many of us. During the bike ride all of us got to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the rural areas in and around Hoi An. We rode for about an hour and forty minutes. During this excursion we all got to know each other just a little better. We all had our fair share of funny moments, but we thought it would be nice to share some of our funniest moments, such as “do we have to wear a helmet?” Another one of the best moments was when a plethora of people may or may not have run over cow poop during the bike ride. This was a traumatic experience for all of us but we hope everyone will be able to pull through.
Once the ride ended, we pulled into a lantern making shop where we all had an opportunity to make our own lantern. This was a great experience and allowed us to really get in touch with the culture of Vietnam in a fun way.
The day ended with a tasty all you can eat BBQ dinner where everyone enjoyed a great meal and engaging conversation. Overall, it was a busy but enjoyable day all around.
