Day 3, and we’ve made it to the top of the mountain. No that’s not a metaphor or anything. We actually did just that with all of our students on this trip. Today every student from the trip rode up to the top of the mountain and took a ride all the way to the bottom.
Our beginners in skiing and snowboarding conquered dizzying heights of 1304m and rode the Zeus trail all the way from beginning to end. Our more capable skiers and snowboarders also scaled to the very top to whip down either one of the Hera or Apollo trails that contained slope line declines up to 25 degrees!
In between the strenuous and lengthy slope runs, our students (and teachers) couldn’t resist the urge to engage in some combative but completely friendly snowball fights. Now, there’s something that doesn’t require any teaching to learn how to do.
In the evening, there was a special treat for our students who were taken to a well known Korean babbling comedy show at the theatre located in the hotel. There were many amazing and hilarious moments from the show and the audience walked away thoroughly impressed with the act.
Tomorrow, there is one final day of skiing. It will however only be a half day, as we’ll be boarding the bus bound to return us to Seoul in the afternoon. We’ll check back in with you all tomorrow at around this time.
