Today we left NJ for the Big Apple. En route we stopped at the Mills at Jersey Gardens – an outlet shopping destination more conveniently located so as to reduce loss of time due to transport.

Part of the TIS delegation headed out to Broadway this evening to watch A Bronx Tale. The story is told by ‘C’ who grew up in an Italian American neighbourhood.  C’s coming of age was surrounded by ‘wise guys’ and dealt with love while confronting racism. The students were encouraged to follow their heart, be people of character, and make good choices in life.

The other students experienced an NBA game at Madison Square Garden. The Nets beat the hometown Nicks, 121 to 110. Celebrities in the crowd included Chris Rock and Jimmy Fallon.
