Despite the cold wind blowing outside, we are safe and hunkered down at our first hotel in Newark. The group is enjoying a bit of time to recover from the long flight after a big buffet breakfast. We’ve heard some good news: the two storm systems that have merged to form the Nor’easter (the blizzard / winter storm) seem to be shifting so that the largest amount of precipitation (snow, sleet, rain) will be further to the north and east. That means our plans to get into the city tomorrow, should proceed despite today’s delayed start. Mr Jefferson has sent parents/guardians the NYC contact information via email. If you didn’t receive it – please email him and it will be sent ASAP.
