Service in our Backyard

Reflecting on a week of service

  Macau, Macau

Posted March 19, 2017 by Dan d'Entremont

Students should feel proud of what they will take away from this week. They stepped outside their comfort zones and provided a tangible support to those in their school community and beyond.

An insightful quote from Christina today:

“After teaching them, I’ve realized sometimes simple makes perfect, the easiest way and the simplest way is good for them to learn new things.”

Christina showing off some floor hockey skills with Coach V.

Ling-Yee on her last day!

Kent is well known for his kind patience. Kids will miss him!

Camilla doing her daily routine in the hallway.

Christine and Maggie on their last day.

The outside volunteers also made a strong impact today on the outside community by teaching a local Pre-kindergarten class.

Wan Meng, Chao In, and Pan U leading the nursery school kids in exercises.

Story time with Sky and Nicole

Story time on the carpet with Anson, Bebe, Carmen, and Anita

Hang on….who is this guy at the table? “Hey Nigel, check out my letters!”

Ms. Kelly would be proud!

And that’s a wrap!
