Airport (Kansai) –>Bus (Coach) –> Restaurant (Kyoto) –> Bus (Again) –> Hotel (Prince Otsu)
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step” – Lao Tzu
Today, Grade 9 students met bright and early at the Macau International Airport for a mid- morning departure to Osaka, Japan. All Experience Week participants eagerly arrived on time, prepared to travel, and were extremely excited to begin our journey to the “land of the rising sun.”
To our surprise, one of our very own Grade 9 student’s fathers was our pilot! HOW EXCITING IS THAT? Our captain did an excellent job navigating and piloting our vessel. We touched down at the Kansai International Airport late afternoon, and were “cooly” welcomed by Osaka’s chilly but refreshing spring air.
Buses, Dining & Hotel….
We boarded our next mode of transportion and headed to our first destination in Japan…Kyoto City! After a long day of travel, everyone was famished. Luckily, our first dining exeprience in Japan served the most scrumptious, traditional Japanese meal. The ingredients were simple, yet flavourful and very satisfying. Check our some of our awesome photos 🙂
After dinner, we checked into our first hotel “Prince Hotel” and it is absolutely lovely! We will be staying here for the first two nights of our trip! 😀
