Surprise surprise it FINALLY rained today and it was actually windy. As you probably have or have not known, it has been incredibly hot these past few days and we’ve been baking in the oven we call Nusa Lembongan. Unfortunately, this cool, refreshing weather didn’t last very long and by the time we finished our last 2 Open Water dives it was burning hot. Some people were miserable, but others were happy because we had officially completed our Open water diver course! Back to the dive; we had a very interesting encounter with some nesting trigger fish, Tania was the only one who saw a turtle, and Sarah had a hard time equalizing. All in all, it was pretty fun and was a great experience. After the eventful dive, we filled in our dive logs, got our certificates, had a very interesting marine ecology session with Andrew, and saw a breathtaking sunset. And as we’re writing this, we are eating pizza and enjoying ourselves on the beach as we sit on bean bags. We’re living the dream:)

Day 3 of the sunburn race has brought us a new leader! Despite the overcast skies and rain this morning, Jack has vaulted into the lead. Coming in a close second is Emily and Bruna rounds out the top 3. On tap tomorrow is a free day until we go sea kayaking in the mangroves in the afternoon so expect the next blog tomorrow evening.
