Despite some flight delays that put us back a couple of hours, we are all safe and sound in Vietnam! Delays aside, the trip was relatively smooth and the grade sevens handled everything like champions. Our TIS team cruised through the airport in Da Nang with no issues and our friendly tour guides were ready and waiting to greet us.
The tired but excited grade 7s piled onto the bus and made it to the hotel in Hoi An, where teachers are just about to do final checks to make sure everyone is ready for bed. The hotel is really nice and the students are pretty excited about their rooms, hopefully not too excited though, as we have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow!
Tomorrow, half of the group will be going on an Eco tour, a walking tour of the old city, capped off with a cooking class for dinner. The other half of the group will be visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site of My Son. Hopefully the little adventurers manage to subdue their excitement enough to recharge their batteries!

We are following your blog in my grade 3 class in Lethbridge, Alberta Amy! Now my students wonder why we can’t go to faraway places on field trips! Can’t wait to read about your daily adventures!
