After a long day of travel, we made it to Europe! We started bright and early at 9am in the Taipa ferry terminal and experienced the efficiency of Macau. They eventually let us check in together and off we went. After the ferry, we experienced the long lines at the Hong Kong airport and rushed toward the boarding gates, with the last ones through security just making it as the plane was boarding. (Plenty of time for the first ones to grab a some Starbucks at least!) After a long 10+ hour flight we made it to Amsterdam. While here, one particular student followed in the steps of his older brother and learned the value of a printer, and keeping track of his boarding pass. With a few minutes between flights, the students explored the wonder that is the Amsterdam airport. Then it was a short, two hour flight to Budapest. Upon arrival, we went to the hotel for all the Player 1s and 2s to get a well deserved sleep in a real bed, surrounded by 8-bit Nintendo characters.
Number of bags delayed: 1.
Total number of students experiencing the importance of the need for zipping up pockets: 4 – A lesson well-learned and our European trip begins! 🙂
