The trip is winding down and during the fourth day, we went to the 63 building, the tallest building in Seoul. It was quite the complex with many activities throughout.
First up was the Sky Art Gallery, which was a gallery located up in the top floor. There was a Beatles themed art section as well as some original works from other artists. The views from up there were spectacular despite the cloudiness of the day. They showed a mix of new and old as well as wealthy and poor. Seoul is a huge city and beautiful. The building also had a wax museum which was not that great. Personally I was disappointed, but I did learn that Picasso only died in 1973! Lastly, the kids went to an aquarium called Seaworld. I actually lost my ticket and couldn’t enter, but all said that it was good!
Hongdik University area was our next stop, and this provided everyone with the opportunity to shop, have coffee, get their nails done etc. for the afternoon. This area was lots of small alleys with retail stalls intertwined with larger retail stores like h&m, uniqlo etc. It is a unique area of coffee shops, bars, KTV, and restaurants. Almost all the kids boarded the bus with lots of bags! Kelly He led the megashopper category!
