We have arrived to Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia! It was a long day of travel. We said goodbye to our families at the Macau Airport at 9am and we just checked in to our hotel at 8:30pm. We quickly dumped off our luggage and headed out for some dinner. We were hungry! We found a cute little restaurant beside the ocean and we sat outside enjoying the sea air and 26+C temperatures. We had some yummy food with beef & onions, lemon chicken, seafood fried rice, curry noodles, Singapore style noodles, honey chicken and rice.
Here are a few of the highlights from today:
- McDonalds for lunch
- Banged up luggage with dented corners – how annoying.
- “Oh, look all the buildings are so small here.”
- “It is so dark here in Sandakan.”
- “I am hungry! When do we eat?”
- “Can I change before dinner?”
- “It’s so hot here.”
- “Yes, no school tomorrow!”
- “Tomorrow will be interesting to see the orangutan.”
- ‘What, we have to get up at 6am? Too early.”
- “I will have to get up at 4am to get my outfit ready and to do my make up.”
Well, let’s see what happens tomorrow. I am very excited to see the orangutans.
