Hi All,
The experience week trip is off to a great start as the grade 7s arrived safely and punctually in Kaoshiung. While there were minor doses of homesickness, overall the students were pumped to get their experience week started. After meeting our Taiwanese guides at the airport, we started our adventures in the southern Taiwan city by being whisked away straight to our buffet dinner at Dream Mall. It was a great start food wise, with a happy mix of eastern and western styles of food and the students all seemed to find something they really craved, which in most cases was Haagen Dias ice cream.
The students were then given a bit of time to roam the expansive Dream Mall. The students enjoyed getting the opportunity to explore on their own and a large number of the students found their way to the games floor to unwind with some exciting arcade games
. Others went on a shopping blitz and picked up a few trinkets to bring back home to Macau.
After our time at Dream Mall, the students were brought back to the Howard Plaza Hotel were we are now. We’re up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to see Ten Drum Cultural Village and hike the trail at Chitou Natural Ecological Center, in a day sure to filled with great adventures and stories. Check back tomorrow evening to hear about the adventures of Day 2.
Note: If you need to reach Mr. Liu during the week, please dial the Taiwan number +886 0925500706.

Good to see some nice pictures, hope to see more. Is the Dream Mall big? Is there special things there that you cannot get in Macau? And is the food in Taiwan suitable?

Hopefully I won't be the only one answering your questions but… Maggie: Yes I think just about every was happy with their roommate selection. I Leng: Dream Mall was definitely big enough so that half an hour to explore wasn't quite enough time. Most things in Macau, you can get in Taiwan but some Taiwanese food dishes are not found in Macau.
