Hi Everyone!
Glad to see that so many people are viewing the blog. Will be trying to include more Bus A updates and pictures in the next few entries. Today, our groups spent their days in entirely different places.
Bus A enjoyed a wonderful bike ride in what was described to me as ‘the most beautiful place I have ever seen!’ After their bike ride Bus A had the opportunity to climb Moon Hill. 800 steps later, the students were tired but thrilled to see such an amazing view of the surrounding area. Bus A’s day finished off with a Tai Chi and Kung Fu lesson. Four students chose to do ‘Tai Chi’ and the rest chose Kung Fu, it was an exhilarating experience.
Bus B spent their morning enjoying a Li river cruise. The cruise took us along the Li river with multiple stops along the way. The students really enjoyed seeing the beautiful Karst mountains. In the afternoon, Bus B had the opportunity to go to the Shunqiuao Primary School. At the beginning of the visit, students played different playground games with the students. There was an epic basketball game that went down to the wire, but unfortunately TIS Bus B came out on the losing end. After playing with the students, we went to a Grade 6 class and met the students who would be receiving the stationary kits. We spent the next half hour ‘getting to know each other’ and playing a few games.
All in all, it was a wonderful day in Guilin!
