Macao 2: Local CAS Program

Caving and Painting

Where: Liyi Holiday Hotel Guilin Yangshuo

Guilin, China

Posted May 14, 2012 by Sandra Kuipers

Hey Everyone!

Just got back from an afternoon of caving, swimming in mud and bathing in hot springs! The kids are having a great time! In the morning, Bus B visited a fan painting studio located in Fuli Town. Each student had the chance to paint their own fan with some amazing results! In the afternoon, we visited Moon Water Cave where many (not all, unfortunately) swam in the mud and enjoyed the hot springs. Bus A had the same schedule reversed with wonderful results.
Some of you might be wondering about the weather and the possibility of flooding. I will be providing weather updates on a daily basis and let you know how it will effect our future schedule.

It has been raining on and off throughout the day. We are expecting sun on wednesday.
Kayaking has been cancelled for Bus B tomorrow morning due to high water. Students will enjoy a boat cruise down the Li River instead, with the possibility of kayaking on Wednesday. Bus A will be having a Kung fu workshop this afternoon instead of bamboo rafting

Will have some student updates for you later this evening.
We have heard about flood warnings from parents back in Macau. There is flooding in Guilin, but Yangshou has not experienced similar conditions.
