Macao 2: Local CAS Program

Wet'n'Wild!

Where: Utahloy international School

Zengcheng, China

Posted April 20, 2012 by Sandra Kuipers

The players have been sliding all over the field in the wet conditions but are loving the action!

Our boys played first in the bathtub and played a hard game against HIS. HIS drew first blood with a strong kick from their captain.

TIS answered back in the second half when Carlos DaSilva substituted on. He worked some magic up the field through the pools of water making it look easy. Pedro Izidro had a goal kick from the backfield which made it up to Bruno Novo. Bruno headed the goal kick to Carlos who made no doubt about it.

In the final minutes, HIS pressed us and we got some great stops by goalkeeper Daniel Kim. HIS managed to get a 2nd goal just before time expired

. TIS ended-up taking a 2-1 loss but played very well.

The girls were up against a much smaller AIAN team. Coach Kiat switched up the positions to give her players more experience as she knew the Tigers would not be denied. Niki Leonardos opened up the scoring again for a 1-0 lead. TIS continued to pour it on when Marika Veith scored on a penalty shot. Kylisha Kiat added another in the 1st half to go up 3-0. The girls continued to switch positions but kept the pressure on as Kristy Lo added the insurance goal to make it 4-0 for their first win of the tournament! Well done girls!

The schedule for the rest of the day and will be (depending on weather)

2:00 TIS Boys vs. UISZC Boys
3:00 TIS Girls vs. RCHK Girls
5:00 TIS Girls vs. UISZC Girls
6:00 TIS Boys vs. AIAN Boys
