We left Macau with a plane full of excited year 7’s. Mandy our guide made sure everything went smoothly for our arrival in Taiwan. We were met by our other two guides – Ms. Wu and Suzanne – and headed to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. We were lucky enough to see the changing of the guard. We also went to the museum where we saw a lot of interesting historical artifacts.
From the Memorial Hall we headed to Taipei 101 Tower. Students spent some of their time in Page One looking at books. Many books were purchased which made Ms Leung very happy 🙂 .
From Taipei 101 we went to dinner in a famous local restaurant known for their Xiao Long Bao and dumplings. Dinner was delicious and we all enjoyed an assortment of dumplings, fried rice, sweet and sour soup and vegetables. Some boys especially enjoyed the fried rice, eat an amazing 7 bowls of RICE! I’ll leave you to guess who this Grade 7 student was…
We are now safely at the hotel and looking forward to a very exciting day tomorrow.
Until then!
