Despite the extreme weather, the tigers played on fiercely and never gave up. Yesterday afternoon, the girls played a rough match against the RCHK black kites violently. With a shaky start we still managed to take many shots however the tigers were unlucky and not many went in. During the 2nd quarter, our “great wall of Kylisha” managed to scare off many of our opponents and got a numbers of steals. Our two amazing rebounders, Sydney Kern and Kelly Weale, saved our ball from being sent up again and made chances for the team. After this competitive match, the team regained their confidence during the 3rd and 4th quarter and played tough. Even though the tigers lost against the strong black kites, we are ready for the next game- in the playoffs.

The TIS Tigers Sr. Boys Team ended day two on a high against HKA. Their 3-2 defense effectively halted and prevented many of HKA’s attempts at scoring. Taking a 20 point lead in the first quarter Coach Lauchlan made the decision to give the younger players some time on the court allowing his starters to rest up for the upcoming semifinal games. The tigers maintained their lead against HKA throughout the rest of the game – ending the day like studs.
