First Boy’s game-
Our TIS boy’s team’s first game at Hangzhou (HIS) was nerve-racking. The first quarter was a little rough with the Hangzhou boys leading 17-2 but our boys brought the pain back and caught up leaving with a score of 35-26 (HIS-TIS). Overall, we are incredibly proud of our boy’s team. No matter what the score ends up being, we will always love and support each other.

First Girl’s game-
The intensity of the game was apparent from the first minute. Both teams seemed to be firmly committed to win and all the girls were running fast up and down the court. The first quarter ended with an extremely close score; HIS had a mere 2 point lead but the girls didn’t seem to feel discouraged at all. Nicki Leonardos, the team’s pointguard, led the plays smoothly and efficiently. Sydney and Kylisha hurried to get every fast break, while players such as Mimi Ho, Christy Wong, Morgan Tonner, Verena Tse and Kelliane Weale shot the balls to prevent the opposing team from getting a bigger lead. The girls unfortunately lost the close game by a few points but the girls played their best and had a lot of fun. Hopefully, both teams will continue to play hard and win the upcoming games. The trip has been so far so good; it feels great to be playing in a foreign city and I am looking forward to the rest of the trip.
