Macao 2: Local CAS Program

Coach McKenzie's Recap

Chengdu, China

Posted November 4, 2011 by Sandra Kuipers

The TIS Tigers Jr. Boys Soccer squad are resting and preparing for an all important match tomorrow and the quarter finals here at the Leman Intl. School in Chengdu. The Lads kicked off their tournament in very  strong style playing a physically imposing team from ICA in Taiwan first
thing this morning to kick off the tournament. The Tigers didn’t appear fazed by the size of the Taiwanese team and striker Alfaaz Gouse netted a hat trick as the Tigers stormed to a solid 3-0 victory. GK Warrick Chung recording the  clean sheet in the win.

Next up were the hosts from LIS and despite some heroics from their goalkeeper, the Tigers dropped a  very tough 3-0 match to the hosts, however, there is every possibility for revenge on Day 2 in the quarter finals. Shaun Teo hit the post but it wasn’t meant to be as the game was played in some very wet conditions.

Next up was a very tough team from Hong Kong Academy. A couple of mistakes by the Tigers left them with an uphill and despite some very crisp passing and a lovely goal from Oscar Wong, the Tigers couldn’t recover and dropped a 3-1 decision to HKA.

Next up tomorrow is a team from Xiamin and depending on the result, this will determine the seeding for the knock out round  The Tigers are in the knock out stage.

Stay tuned for more action!!
