We had a long but smooth trip through two airports and have arrived safely at our destination. Our guide met us at the airport and took us to the center. We had a nice meal waiting for us and now some of the students have gone to play in the gym while others are busy unpacking and planning for the adventures tomorrow. Although we are a group of 28 people, it is quite easy to move about with such seasoned travelers!
We have breakfast scheduled for 7 am tomorrow and will be heading to the farm on campus to learn about the kinds of vegetables and herbs that grow in the area. We will get to pick the fresh ingredients we will be using to do some Thai cooking for our lunch. After that, our culture day will continue with a lesson in Batik. In the evening, we will have a bonfire and BBQ.
Everyone is doing very well and are really excited to be here.
We will post pictures tomorrow as soon as we are able. Stay tuned!
