We have finished another fun day in Taichung
Here is another short update of what we did:
After eating breakfast and loading the bus, 6 boys were missing. It turned out the 6 boys were still getting their beauty sleep. The girls’ bus went ahead to the National Museum of Nature Science while the boys’ bus was delay for half an hour. Definitely an interesting start of the day…
At the museum, students had the opportunity to explore different exhibits. It was very encouraging to see a handful of students learn about new things such as learning about the development of human life. Some boys though, found the most interesting exhibit to be their McDonald’s value meals 🙂 Many students also chose to visit the gift shop to buy souvenirs for their families and friends
.
From there, we took a 2 hours bus ride to the Sun Moon Lake area of Taiwan where we ate local Taiwanese cuisine which featured Taiwan’s famous 3-cup chicken and it was delicious. Then we went the Formosan Aboriginal Village where students once again participated in thrill seeking, body drenching rides. Some students took the opportunity to ride the cable car to see the Sun Moon Lake and some small aboriginal exhibits. After staying at the village for 4 hours, students were whisked away to dinner.
We had dinner at a very fancy steak house which was just a 10 minute bus ride away from our hotel. Everyone was so amazed by their nice looking environment, delicious appetizers and the tenderly cooked 8 oz beef steak. The students all enjoyed their meals very much. It was already 9:30 when we arrived our hotel so all students went to their room, got ready for the evening and went to bed.
The Taiwan trip is coming to an end as we will head back to Macau tomorrow.
See you all in Macau!

Thank you to the Teachers and Tour guides who have looked after our kids this week. Reading the blog has been great and we much appreciate the time and effort you have put in to keeping us informed of all the amazing things you have been doing. What a wonderful experience for our young people to have. So looking forward to seeing James today I'm sure he'll have a huge smile on his face after a fab week. I hope James was not one of the boys who slept in, his Dad and I have a bet going, I could win a dinner out if it wasn't him! Have a safe trip back home. James' Mum.
