It’s been an extremely fast moving trip so far. I’m missing out on the spa so this may be brief. After leaving Zhuhai and catching a flight out of Guangzhou, we touched down in Zhuang Zhon at about 8PM. We had a 6:20 morning call so it was an early night. The next day was very cold (-3 degrees) and snowing. It seems like we’re always in a bus.
The highlight of the day was the Longmen Caves which is one of the more important historical and cultural spots in China. We froze.
Last night we bunked down in Luo gang and I went out and bought long underwear. It was another 6:20 morning call today but it was all for naught. We were meant to climb a mountain (Hua Shan) but instead we spent 6.5 hours stuck in one spot on the highway. Mr. Cameron, two students and myself walked many kilometers up and down the highway trying to find an answer to why nobody was moving. Never got one. Got to the hotel at 8:30 PM and will leave tomorrow at 8. I think we are in a town called Nantong.
Tomorrow is Xian and the Terracotta Warriors.
We are eating very well and I’m feeling quite round.
Trip has been fun.
