Many of the students chose sushi for their dinner tonight and it proved to be a popular and delicious choice. The students are now winding down on their last night in Japan. After dinner, students headed back to their room to clean up and pack as tomorrow is another early day.
In their hotel rooms, students have enjoyed playing cards, visiting and watching movies. For some reason, the movie Waterworld keeps being shown repeatedly. Last night a few students thought sumo wrestling might also be a fun hotel room activity but needless to say it was quickly shut down. Hallway races also had a very brief run (pardon the pun). We need to be up by 7 a.m. in order to fit in a tour of a castle and a bit of shopping before heading to the airport for our return.
So far the weather has been great but tonight it started to pour. Thankfully most of the venues, shops and restaurants near our hotel are semi covered to keep us dry. The weather forecast for tomorrow calls for rain. We are indoors for the most part and all of the outdoor shopping areas are covered by long narrow domes so we should be okay.
I will update this blog tomorrow before we check out! Stay tuned!
