Macao 2: Local CAS Program

Live and Learn

Osaka, Japan

Posted March 18, 2009 by Sandra Kuipers

Here are a few things a few grade eight students have learned over the past few days:

Do not wear high heels on a hike.

Do not fill out airport forms in pencil.

Do not lock yourself out of your hotel room.

Do not stay up all night. (Some still have not learned this one!)

Do not spill ice cold water on your lap.

Do make wishes.  (At a temple, one student wished for a girlfriend and an hour later a female student from Vancouver who was also on a school trip had her friends approach him and tell him he was cute.  I believe email addressess were exchanged.

Japan is fun!  All of the students have been speaking English which has been totally inclusive of everyone.  Old friendships have been cemented and new friendships have been formed.

More updates tomorrow!  By the way, the weather here has been ideal… sunny and about 20 degrees Celsius!

Re: More pictures of the TIS G8 in Japan please. Lots of photos have been taken but oddly enough intenet access has been a challenge. To complete this blog I have had to visit a neighboring hotel. We will definitely share photos when we get back!
