This past weekend the TIS Track and Field team traveled to their second ever ACAMIS competition and showed an incredible performance for such a small team. The competition was tough but our boys relay team consisting of Dylan Winter, Jack Hodgson, Sam Koutsouridis and Leo Ip placed 3rd in the 4x100m, even though Sam and Leo were injured. Sam also did an amazing job at the boys high jump, placing 3rd overall. Joy Kuai took home the first ever gold medal for Track and Field in the 800m race, then decided she wanted a pair of them, going on to win the 400m race as well! Joy also placed 2nd in the 200m event. All of our athletes set a new personal best for each event they competed in, which is an excellent achievement for all.
All of our athletes displayed a tremendous amount of dedication and sportsmanship, supporting their team mates as well as cheering for and congratulating their competition. Ms. Harris and Ms. Snider are incredibly proud of all the hard work that our athletes put into this season!
