The last day of the DSEJ Swimming Championships took place on Sat, Jan 18, 2014 at the Macau Olympic Aquatic Centre and it turned out to be a very good day for TIS swimmers. Coco won two more gold medals in the 100m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke (for a grand total of 3!). Coco was just over 0.5 seconds off of the meet record in the 100m Free Style. Bela, in the last meet of her high school career, won a bronze medal in the 50m Freestyle. Donald received a bronze medal in the 50m Butterfly (to add to his bronze medal he won on Jan 11). Danielle broke the 50 second barrier in her 50m Backstroke with an excellent start, while Emily posted a personal best time in the 50m Freestyle. Matthew, now a seasoned pro at swim meets, confidently swam the 50m Backstroke. Ethan swam a long 100m Freestyle in the first event. Reo came in 5th in the 100m Freestyle as well. Amy competed in her first swim meet in the 100m Breaststroke and gave a great effort. Way to go Tigers!!
