The TIS High School girls basketball team traveled to Beijing from January 25-27 and competed in the annual ACAMIS Gold Division U19 basketball tournament.

Eager to solidify their reputation as a hoops powerhouse in the league, the ladies wasted no time storming through the competition as they went undefeated in round robin winning their games by an average margin of 20+ points. The semi-finals where no different as the Tigers advanced to the championship game with a 30 point win over ISNS.

In the championship game, pressure and nerves seemed to have gotten the best of the team as they trailed an experienced DAIS team 17-12 after 3 quarters. But with their title hopes on the lines, the ladies responded with a ferocious 4th quarter and ended the game on a 19-3 run, taking home the gold medal with a 31-20 victory.
