In mid November, the TIS Cross Country team traveled to Chengdu to compete in the annual ACAMIS Cross Country Meet. At this event last year, grade 12 student Pan U Chan grabbed silver in the female U19 category, the best finish every for a TIS runner at this event. This year, the lone Tiger in this category is Colette Lei, who is only 14 years old. Despite being one of the youngest competitors in this year’s event, Colette pounded every step with determination and poise, beating out he rest of the field and took home the GOLD. What a huge accomplishment!! TIS also grabbed 3rd overall in team standings. Congratulations to our coaches and athletes. Well done Tigers!
