High School Girls Dominate PRC Basketball Tournament

Posted January 13, 2016 by Bing Han

On Friday January 8, the Sr. Girls Basketball team competed in the PRC Division 1 High School Basketball Tournament at Nansha College Preparatory Academy . From the opening tip, it was clear that TIS would be the team to beat. The girls’ suffocating defense and ferocious scoring surged them ahead of the rest as they steamed through round robin play.

The playoffs were no different as TIS dominated their semi-final opponent CGS with a 25-0 lead in the first quarter.  The gold medal game saw a motivated team from QSIS who were eager to prove their worth. However, our girls were determined to show that they were a cut above the rest and walked away with a convincing victory to claim top honours as the best girls team in the Pearl River Conference this year.

Congrats ladies! ACAMIS is next …
