DSEJ Swimming

Posted January 18, 2016 by Jody Hubert

On two Saturdays in a row, Tigers swimmers competed at the Olympic Pool in the DSEJ annual school swim meet. There were 19 swimmers from TIS completing; some had never competed before.

Many best times were recorded from last year and practices. Almost all of the swimmers were at the bottom of their age category this year, swimming against other students much older and BIGGER than they were. It can be intimidating to sit in marshalling looking around you at the other swimmers a good 30cm taller than you.

Still, our junior girls team of Hanna, Emmi, Mia and Margaux, won a silver medal in the 4 x 50m freestyle relay and Coco dominated her age class in her events.

Congratulations to all of our swimmers. See you at ACAMIS in March.
