Athletic Banquet Celebrates Amazing 2018/19 Sports Season

Posted June 20, 2019 by Bing Han

On June 6, Tiger athletes, coaches, alumni, friends and family gathered at the Loulan ballroom at the Conrad Hotel for the 2019 TIS Tigers Athletic Awards Banquet.

It was yet another exciting evening of celebrating the phenomenal season our Tigers had this year. The high-tech AV set up and the mesmerizing light show set the stage for what proved to be the perfect way to end our 2018/19 sports campaign. As each team walked on stage, the coaches could hardly stop talking about the amazing accomplishments of our athletes. TIS is extremely proud of the amazing young men and women that represent us on the court, pitch, track, pool, and trail. We had more participants in our athletic program than ever before and we can hardly wait for the fall 2019 season to start!

The 2019 Athletic Banquet saw 6 amazing young people recognized as recipients of the Athlete of the Year Award. Congratulations to the following Tigers:

Elementary Male Athlete of the Year: Yorrick Hammer

Elementary Female Athlete of the Year: Mackennah Dunbar

Junior Male Athlete of the Year: Matthew Capuano

Junior Female Athlete of the Year: Eliana Joquim Ho

Senior Male Athlete of the Year: Mario Monteiro

Senior Female Athlete of the Year: Pan U Chan
