It was yet another busy weekend for our coaches and athletes with TIS hosting the biggest basketball tournament on school record. In addition to this, ourĀ Tiger Athletes and coaches have been achieving great results in other areas of sports too.
Swim
For the second weekend in a row, our elementary and secondary swimmers competed in the annual DSEJ swim meet at the Taipa Olympic pool. Scores of Tigers swimmers compete with schools from all over Macau and numerous medals were won. We are still waiting of the final results from both weekends, but we can share the Tigers brought home at least 3 golds and 2 bronzes. As the final results come in from this Saturday, I’m sure the medal count will grow even more. Fantastic results and congrats to all our swimmers and coaches Queenie Wong and Kacy Fu!
Senior Boys Soccer
Last weekend, our high school boys soccer team polished off Pui Va in their last round robin match up of DSEJ Group A and found themselves in the semi-finals against the School of Nations (SON) this Saturday. Missing one of their key defenders, Joey Preece, who was busy playing for our basketball team at ACAMIS, our boys stepped up to the plate and cleaned up with a 5-0 victory over SON. For the first time in TIS history, our boys will appear in the DSEJ championship game in March against Yuet Wa secondary school. Way to go boys and Coach Masters and Arul!
