TIS teacher Mr. Francois Rochon together with two high school students, Kyna Loughlin(Grade 11) and Sarah Guimond(Grade 10) represented our school at the Canadian Commemorative Ceremony held at Sai Wan Cemetery in Hong Kong. Mr. Rochon and Kyna laid a wreath at the cenotaph on behalf of TIS and Sarah read the French version of the Prayer of Remembrance.
The event is held annually to pay homage to the 228 Canadian soldiers who died during the Battle of Hong Kong in December of 1941. This year it was very special to have the Premier of Ontario, The Honourable Kathleen Wynne, to attend this important milestone.
