Prospective students and their families received a warm welcome at TIS’ annual Open House on Saturday.
Ms Jasinski, Mrs Kiat and Mr Chignall gave an informative presentation about the elementary program and then took parents and their children on a guided tour of the elementary classrooms, special purpose rooms and the new North Wing. Mr Coates and Mr Gauci provided an overview of the secondary program and also provided a tour of the school facilities.
New at this year’s Open House was the arts showcase which included beautiful art installations created by elementary students, as well as various activities and performances in classrooms and the new Black Box Theatre. It was a great way to give new families a taste of everything that TIS has to offer!
After months of construction, our current TIS families had the chance to see the new North Wing and check out the spacious classrooms and special purpose rooms such as the MPR, two-storey library and the new black box theatre.
Special thanks to all of the teachers and students who participated in the activities and presentations; Ms SmithDale and the many volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure the art installations were ready; the student ambassadors who answered questions and helped with the tours; and the office and facilities staff for being on hand to provide information and directions to parents.
