Members of the TIS golf team had the chance to work on their game with one of China’s best known golfers at a promotional event on Monday for the Venetian Macao Open 2013. The team enjoyed lunch at the Venetian, followed by a golf lesson and one-on-one instruction with Zhang Lianwei, the first golfer from China to achieve success on the international professional circuit. Lianwei, who is from Zhuhai, was the first Chinese golfer to win on the European tour (in Jan 2003),  make the top 100 in the official world golf rankings and compete in the Master’s Tournament. Lianwei took time with each student, providing tips on technique to improve their game.
