Throughout the year, Marketing & Management students (M&M) were given the challenge to operate a school store and sell snacks and beverages at lunch to middle school and high school students. The M&M students jumped at the idea, getting creative and even selling their own home-made cakes, cupcakes and cookies to students craving something sweet.
According to Marketing & Management teacher Shevon Wilson, the results were “astounding” and record profits were made. At the end of the year, the M&M students voted to give a portion of their profits to the TIS athletic teams and to the Class of 2016 for graduation expenses. The rest of the profits were donated to MUST and a local orphanage that TISPA is involved with.
Ms Wilson thinks that the donations are a “good thing” because the profits ended up benefitting students at TIS, while also helping a local charity in the Macau community.
Thank you to the students of the 2016 Marketing & Management class for selling your delicious treats at lunch and sharing the results with the rest of the community. We look forward to what you have to offer next year!
