Students Experiment With Light Painting

Recently Ms Wilson’s multimedia students completed a photography assignment on light painting. Light painting is a technique where students use a dark room and a light source, such as a flashlight, to create a single long exposure photograph. By holding the shutter open for 10+ seconds, the light from the flashlight can be used to create shapes, designs or words in a very dramatic way.  Students worked in groups to “paint” the light around the room to create interesting images.

  Following an elementary Christmas sing-a-long in the MPR this morning, JK & SK students and their families returned to the Kindergarten classrooms to participate in some fun, holiday-themed activities.
