Plans for implementing the TIS Think Digital Laptop Program in September 2015 are right on track. The program will require each student in grade 7 & 10 to bring an approved laptop to school each day. Enrollment of current grade 6 & 9 students is now underway; Parent Information Packages were distributed to students on June 1st.
How will the new initiative impact teaching & learning? First, teachers will be better able to offer even more interactive, engaging and participatory styles of teaching and learning. Second, students will be able to research, share & collaborate in more diverse ways. Students can watch videos, examine live Tweet streams, talk to experts via video calls or perform virtual experiments otherwise not possible.
Stay tuned for more updates about the TIS Think Digital Laptop Program in coming months.
