Head of School Howard Stribbell and Board of Governors John Crawford and Real Hryhirchuk enjoyed a sneak peak at the inside of the Phase II building recently, including the first floor of the two-story library.
“The space is massive and offers great views of the TIS field and the MUST football pitch,” says Mr Stribbell adding, “The library will definitely be a place that inspires teaching and learning.”
Workers have also started putting up the exterior tile on the section of wall nearest the MUST entrance/exit by COD. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems are also in progress.
Meanwhile in the existing Phase I building, summer renovations are already underway. The CCTV security system is being upgraded and extensive work is taking place on the ground floor, such as the installation of LED lights in all hallways and stairwells; wall painting in the hallways, classrooms and main office; and new air conditioning for the main foyer and hallway outside the nurse’s room. In addition, the 5th floor is getting a new coat of paint, the secondary lockers are being wired and the school ventilation system is getting repaired.
Outside, the wooden decking (and drainage) between the artificial soccer pitch and Kindergarten playground is being fixed and the gap underneath the MPR is getting repaired.
