Registration is still open for Secondary Summer School and a new course called “Intro to Programming” has been added. This two-week course is for students who want to learn how computers think and how we give them instructions by writing code. Our favorite games, apps and websites are all made using computer code. No experience is necessary . Students will explore the basic concepts that all computer languages use. They will also learn fundamentals like how data is stored, how to handle user input, what a function is, and how to write an algorithm. Throughout the course students will apply what they learn by designing and developing a computer game, and focus on problem solving as they learn to test and debug their code.
Other secondary summer school courses are also being offered to help students further develop their knowledge and skills in the areas of Math & English. They include:
- Middle School Math
- Math 10 Prep
- English (all levels)
- SAT Prep
- IELTS Prep
All courses are two weeks long and cost MOP 6,000. Registration forms are available in the main office. Secondary summer school will be held June 30 – July 11. Hours are 8:45 – 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.
