Starting from December 19, the magazines designed by our B level multimedia students will be proudly exhibited on the wall outside the multimedia room on the first floor, North Wing room 1430.
After weeks of planning and brainstorming, the multimedia students proposed unique themes for their magazines—from specific color schemes to various cultural themes. Their proposals were then approved by the high school multimedia teacher, Ms. Peggy Fok, who guided their artistic directions with experienced advice. After creating an outline for their magazine on InDesign, an Adobe software program commonly used for professional print works, the students went onto shooting their photos with professional cameras in the multimedia studio and the outdoors.
Once satisfied with the photos, the students’ composition skills were further tested as they had to put the chosen photos into a magazine layout. Fonts, pictures and negative space have to work congruently together make each page of the magazine aesthetically pleasing. Each page is a work of trial and error that illustrates the students’ individual design sense.
Feel free to pop by the multimedia classroom to check out these fantastic magazines; flip through the pages to see the students’ devoted works!
