Model United Nations

Ten TIS students from  middle and secondary school travelled to Xiamen, China over the weekend for a Model United Nations conference. They worked to process resolutions on issues related to human rights, disarmament and more. They did a great job debating difficult issues and practiced their excellent public speaking skills.  Model United Nations conferences provide a forum for addressing global concerns including regional conflicts, peacekeeping, human rights, women and children, economic and social development, and the environment. MUN also provides student participants with a better understanding of the inner working of the UN as they build skills in diplomacy and compromise.
