Learning Outside the Classroom

Posted on March 26, 2015

Some wonderful memories are being made during this year’s Experience Week trips. Most groups are nearing the end of their adventures and will return to Macau on Friday and Saturday. Here’s a look at some of the activities they’ve been enjoying this week.

  • The Gr. 7s visited the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village in Taiwan.
  • A highlight of the Gr. 8 trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand was a visit to the Elephant Nature Park where students spent the day feeding and bathing elephants.
  • The Gr. 9 students ventured beyond Tokyo to see majestic Mount Fuji.
  • Students took a break from scuba diving to participate in a beach clean-up with students from a local school.
  • The many temples of Kyoto were a highlight of the Japan culture trip.
  • Students on the Singapore trip enjoyed a Japanese dinner.
  • TIS snowboarders headed out for a day of fun on the slopes.

Admissions Results

This year, TIS received 300 applications (more than ever before), but unfortunately, a shortage of available seats means that we are not able to accommodate everyone. Click here for more information on how the selection process at TIS works.
