Keeping TIS Students Safe On School Trips

Posted on November 23, 2015

In light of recent world events, TIS wants to assure parents that student safety is our highest priority. In addition to a safe and secure campus, we ensure that school trips abroad are managed and delivered in the best and safest way possible.

TIS is continuing to monitor all international trips that our students participate in, including sports tournaments and Experience Week trips. We work closely with an independent advisory group called International SOS, which provides analysis of current risks, including possible environmental dangers, political unrest and terrorist activity in countries around the world. International SOS also provides access to a first class assistance service available 24/7, as well as advice from medical experts in case of an emergency.

While world events may cause concern about school trips abroad, it is important to note that these trips have been the highlight of our students’ education for many years and are an essential part of the TIS program. School trips provide a great opportunity for pupils to gain real world experience and face a range of challenges that can contribute significantly to their personal development.

At TIS, every effort is made to ensure our sports trips and Experience Week trips are as safe as possible and that all due caution has been taken in the planning and delivery of the trip. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to drop by the office.
