The first event in the new black box theatre will be a TIS Inclusion Academy presentation featuring motivational speaker Joan Latta. Joan will be speaking to TIS students on Thursday, February 23 about the importance of overcoming personal challenges.
Joan was born with cerebral palsy and despite a poor diagnosis, she went on to graduate from a mainstream school and completed a degree in Science. She also ran an 18-mile marathon in under 4 hours and participated in a hike where she completed 650 miles in 10 weeks. Joan runs her own company, Cerebral Palsy Alive and Kicking.
We look forward to learning from a woman who has lived her life to the fullest and continues to challenge herself.
