More than 75 students, staff and parents participated in the Hour of Code yesterday afternoon in the MPR.
Students eager to learn more about computer programming enjoyed multiple activities. Some participants programmed a robot for the first time using an iPad while others programmed lights on a circuit board with the help of high school robotics students.
The Hour of Code movement started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify “code“, to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. The campaign has reached more than 100 million learners in 180 countries worldwide.
